Web Files to Text

Overview

Web Files to Text is a Model Context Protocol server that downloads files from URL lists, converts PDFs to Markdown, and extracts text from images using OCR. It operates on a pay-per-file basis, letting AI assistants call these capabilities as tools rather than requiring manual workflows between separate applications.

This is a remote hosted server with no local installation needed. Simply connect your MCP client to https://mcp.apify.com/?tools=chris_elder/bulk-file-downloader,chris_elder/pdf-to-markdown,chris_elder/image-to-text-ocr and you're ready to go. No authentication is required. The latest release is v1.0.0, and the project is maintained by gptshopltd.com.

Web Files to Text belongs in the File System category on mcp.site and works with all MCP clients including Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, and Zed. If you maintain this server, claim your listing to earn a Verified badge and keep information up to date.
