mcp.site for developers and agents

20,566 servers · no key needed

Everything in the directory is available to code and to AI agents: a JSON API, a read-only MCP server you can add to any client, and plain-text indexes for crawlers. All of it is free, unauthenticated and rate-limited per IP.

MCP server

mcp.site is itself a remote MCP server. Point any MCP client at https://mcp.site/mcp/public (Streamable HTTP, no authentication) and your agent can search the directory, fetch a listing with its install snippets, and list categories. Three tools:

search_serversKeyword, category, type, hosting and auth filters; paginated, newest first.
get_serverOne listing by slug with overview, install command, per-client snippets, endpoint, repo, license and release.
list_categoriesEvery category with its published-server count.
claude mcp add --transport http mcp-site https://mcp.site/mcp/public

Writes (submitting, editing and moderating listings) live on the authenticated endpoint https://mcp.site/mcp, which uses OAuth 2.1 with dynamic client registration and is reserved for maintainers. To list a server, use the submit form or the API with an admin token.

REST API

Plain JSON, paginated, same data as the MCP tools. No key for reads.

GET /api/serversPublished servers. ?q= keyword, ?category= slug, ?type= ?hosting= ?auth=, ?page= and ?per_page= (max 100).
GET /api/servers/{slug}One server.
GET /api/categoriesCategories with counts.
GET /api/search?q=The site search: servers, clients and categories in one ranked list.
curl
curl -s 'https://mcp.site/api/servers?q=postgres&hosting=Remote&per_page=5'
