Vara

Overview

Vara is a Model Context Protocol server that lets you read and update your lab experiments, runs, daily plans, references and materials directly from any MCP-compatible AI assistant. The model decides when to call Vara's tools during conversation or agent execution, making it easy to keep your research organized and accessible.

Vara runs as a remote hosted server — simply connect your MCP client to https://varaapp.site/api/mcp with no local installation required. The current release is v1.1.0 and requires no authentication to get started. Learn more at https://varaapp.site/docs/connect-ai?lang=en.

Vara is listed in the Development category on mcp.site and works with MCP clients including Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Zed and others. If you maintain Vara, claim this listing to verify ownership, earn the Verified badge, and keep information up to date.
