Overview

Octopus is a Model Context Protocol server that routes tasks to people better suited to handle them, whether they have expertise you lack or are simply better positioned to act. Work is held in escrow to ensure proper execution and accountability.

It runs as a hosted remote service at https://tryoctopus.com/mcp with no local installation required. Simply point your MCP client to the endpoint and connect immediately. The current release is v1.0.0, and authentication is not needed.

Octopus is listed in the Productivity category on mcp.site and works with Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Zed, and other MCP clients. If you maintain Octopus for tryoctopus.com, you can claim this listing to verify ownership and keep details up to date.
