Mind the Gates — UK level crossings

Overview

Mind the Gates is an MCP server providing live barrier status and closure forecasts for approximately 1,600 UK level crossings. It draws on public data with no authentication required, letting you query real-time crossing conditions and planned outages directly from your AI assistant.

The server runs as a remote endpoint at https://mindthegates.uk/mcp, so there's nothing to install locally—just point your MCP client at the URL and connect. Version 1.0.0 is the current release. All data is publicly available and requires no credentials.

Mind the Gates is listed in the Development category on mcp.site and works with any MCP client including Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, and Zed. If you maintain this server for mindthegates.uk, you can claim this listing to verify ownership, earn the Verified badge, and keep information up to date.
