Hyades

Overview

Hyades is a Model Context Protocol server that transforms LaTeX mathematical notation into pure Unicode text art suitable for terminals, code comments, and emails. Instead of wrestling with formatting across different platforms, you get readable math expressions as plain text that works everywhere.

The server runs remotely at https://hyades-mcp.apg.workers.dev/mcp with no authentication required and no local installation needed. Version 1.0.0 is available under the MPL-2.0 license, with source code at apology-is-policy/hyades on GitHub.

Hyades belongs in the Development category on mcp.site and works with MCP clients including Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, and Zed. If you maintain this project, you can claim this listing to verify ownership and keep the information up to date.
