Overview

Coolant is an MCP server that equips AI models with tools for functions they cannot perform alone: current time, randomness generation, DNS resolution, hashing, and receipt handling. By speaking the Model Context Protocol, Coolant lets Claude, Cursor, VS Code and other AI assistants call these capabilities directly as built-in tools.

The server runs remotely at https://coolant.run/mcp, so you only need to point your MCP client at the endpoint — nothing to install locally. Authentication uses an API key. The latest release is v1.2.0, available from https://coolant.run.

Coolant appears in the AI & Agents category on mcp.site and works with MCP clients including Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, and Zed. If you maintain Coolant, claim this listing to verify ownership and keep information up to date.
