Overview

Car Check is a Model Context Protocol server that lets you decode vehicle identification numbers, access US recall information, crash test ratings, owner complaints, and fuel economy data. Any MCP-compatible AI assistant can call these tools directly, deciding when to use them as part of a conversation or agent workflow.

The server runs as a remote endpoint at https://cars.openkrill.app/mcp with no authentication required and nothing to install locally. Version 1.0.0 is the current release. Learn more at https://tools.openkrill.app/.

Car Check appears in the Memory category on mcp.site and is compatible with Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Zed, and other MCP clients. If you maintain this server, claim your listing to verify ownership, display the Verified badge, and keep information up to date.
