Overview

Zigbee2Mqtt Mcp is a Model Context Protocol server that lets you administer a Zigbee2MQTT estate directly from your AI assistant. It exposes tools for health monitoring, mesh diagnostics, over-the-air updates, device pairing, and device management, turning complex smart-home operations into simple assistant commands.

The server runs locally on your machine via npx -y zigbee2mqtt-mcp. It communicates with your Zigbee2MQTT instance over MQTT, requiring you to set the Z2M_MQTT_URL environment variable and provide an API key for authentication.
