YTDL RMCP

Overview

YTDL RMCP is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server: Rust MCP server and CLI for yt-dlp search, downloads, metadata, transfers, and Plex playlists. Because it speaks the Model Context Protocol, AI assistants can use YTDL RMCP as a set of callable tools instead of you copy-pasting between apps.

It runs locally: the npm package ytdl-rmcp speaks MCP over stdio on your machine. The current release is v1.0.2, published under the AGPL-3.0 license, with source at jmagar/ytdl-rmcp on GitHub.
