XHelio-SPICE

Overview

XHelio-SPICE is an MCP server that simplifies spacecraft ephemeris calculations by automatically managing SPICE kernels for heliophysics research. Instead of juggling multiple tools, you integrate it directly into your MCP client and access spacecraft position and orientation data as callable functions, powered by the Model Context Protocol.

The server runs locally on your machine via the uvx package manager (uvx xhelio-spice). It requires no authentication and works immediately after installation. The latest release is v0.5.1, distributed under the MIT license with source code available at huangzesen/xhelio-spice on GitHub.

XHelio-SPICE is listed in the Development category on mcp.site and works with MCP clients including Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, and Zed. If you maintain this project, claim your listing to verify ownership and keep the information up to date.
