Overview

Xero is an MCP server that connects your AI assistant to Xero accounting software. It exposes contacts, invoices, payments, accounts, and financial reports as callable tools, letting Claude, Cursor, VS Code, and other MCP clients read and interact with your Xero data without switching between applications.

The server runs locally via Docker using the image ghcr.io/wyre-ai/xero-mcp:v1.5.6. You supply two environment variables — XERO_TENANT_ID and XERO_ACCESS_TOKEN — to authenticate with your Xero instance. The latest release is v1.5.6, published under the Apache-2.0 license with source code available at WYRE-AI/xero-mcp on GitHub.
