Overview

Wireshark Mcp brings professional network analysis into your AI workflow through the Model Context Protocol. Using tshark under the hood, it enables security audits, threat detection, and deep-dive packet inspection without leaving your Claude, Cursor, or VS Code session.

The server runs locally on your machine via the wireshark-mcp Python package, installed with uvx wireshark-mcp. No authentication is needed. Version v0.6.5 is available now under the MIT license, with full source code at bx33661/Wireshark-MCP on GitHub.
