Wherewent

Overview

Wherewent is a Model Context Protocol server that acts as a zero-config SQL flight recorder for slow Python and SQLAlchemy jobs. It identifies the exact call site, execution count, and suggests fixes without requiring any setup or configuration.

The server runs locally on your machine via the wherewent Python package, installed with uvx wherewent. It communicates with MCP clients over stdio and requires no authentication or credentials to operate, working immediately out of the box. The latest release is v0.4.1 under the MIT license, with source code available at habibafaisal/wherewent on GitHub.
