WhatsApp Chat Reader (Unofficial) is an unofficial read-only MCP server that lets you access your local WhatsApp chat history directly from AI assistants. Your chat data stays on your machine — nothing is sent elsewhere. It works with any MCP client by exposing your messages as tools the model can invoke.

Install the Python package wa-chat-reader using uvx wa-chat-reader. It runs locally and requires no authentication or credentials — just connect it to your MCP client and start querying your chats. The current release is v0.1.0, published under the MIT license, with source code available at NabheetCloud/wa-chat-reader on GitHub.
