Web Network Tools

Overview

Web Network Tools is a Model Context Protocol server that provides DNS lookup, WHOIS queries, SSL certificate checking, and HTTP status monitoring. It relies exclusively on public APIs with no web scraping, making it a straightforward way to integrate network diagnostics into AI workflows.

The server runs locally on your machine via the npm package @erikirby/web-network-tools, communicating over stdio with any MCP-compatible client. No authentication is required to get started. Version 1.0.0 is available now, with the source code hosted at erikirby/toolcompare-fyi on GitHub.

Web Network Tools appears in the Development category on mcp.site and is compatible with Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Zed, and other MCP clients.
