Overview

Weather is an MCP server that provides weather information to AI assistants through the Model Context Protocol. Any MCP-compatible AI can access its tools directly, letting the model decide when to fetch weather data during conversations or agent runs.

It runs locally on your machine via the npm package @byrness/mcp-weather-server, communicating over stdio. No authentication is needed — install with npx -y @byrness/mcp-weather-server and start using it immediately. The latest release is v1.0.8, with source code available at byrness/mcp-weather-server on GitHub.
