Waitbus

Overview

Waitbus is a workstation-local event bus that lets agents wait on or emit CI, pytest, Docker, and filesystem events without polling. It speaks the Model Context Protocol, so AI assistants can use it as a set of callable tools instead of manual app-switching.

It runs locally via the uvx command with the waitbus package, speaking MCP over stdio on your machine. No credentials are required — it works out of the box. The current release is v0.2.0, published under the MIT license, with source at astrogilda/waitbus on GitHub.
