User Prompt

Overview

User Prompt is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server: An MCP server that enables AI agents to ask users clarifying questions via pop-up terminal windows. Because it speaks the Model Context Protocol, AI assistants can use User Prompt as a set of callable tools instead of you copy-pasting between apps.

It runs locally: the NuGet package UserPrompt speaks MCP over stdio on your machine. No credentials are required — it works out of the box. The current release is v1.0.2, with source at Jacob-J-Thomas/user-context-retrieval-mcp-server on GitHub.
