Overview

Unmarkdown is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server: The document publishing layer for AI tools. Convert markdown to 6 destinations, 62 templates. As an MCP server it plugs straight into AI assistants, exposing its functionality as tools the model can invoke on your behalf.

You can run Unmarkdown two ways: connect to the hosted endpoint at https://unmarkdown.com/api/mcp with no local install, or run it on your own machine via the npm package @un-markdown/mcp-server. Configuration happens through environment variables — you'll need UNMARKDOWN_API_KEY. The current release is v1.0.3, published under the MIT license, with source at UnMarkdown/mcp-server on GitHub.
