uni-msg WhatsApp is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server: Drive WhatsApp from any MCP client: pair devices, send text and media, manage contacts and groups. As an MCP server it plugs straight into AI assistants, exposing its functionality as tools the model can invoke on your behalf.

You can run uni-msg WhatsApp two ways: connect to the hosted endpoint at https://uni-msg.com/mcp with no local install, or run it on your own machine via the npm package uni-msg-mcp-server. Configuration happens through environment variables — you'll need UNIMSG_API_KEY. The current release is v0.3.1.
