TMDB MCP Server

Overview

TMDB MCP Server is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server: MCP server for The Movie Database (TMDB) with IMDb/Rotten Tomatoes/Metacritic ratings via OMDb. In practice that means any MCP-compatible AI assistant can call TMDB MCP Server's tools directly — the model decides when to use them in a conversation or agent run.

It runs locally: the npm package tmdb-mcp speaks MCP over stdio on your machine. Configuration happens through environment variables — you'll need TMDB_API_TOKEN. The current release is v0.11.0, published under the MIT license, with source at Grinv/tmdb-mcp on GitHub.
