Taxformatter

Overview

Taxformatter is a Model Context Protocol server that transforms crypto CSVs and bank PDFs into clean transaction data ready for tax platforms like Koinly, TurboTax, and CoinLedger. Rather than manually reformatting files across multiple tools, you can ask your AI assistant to handle the parsing and structuring work through a unified interface.

The server runs locally on your machine via the npm package @taxformatter/mcp-server, communicating with MCP clients over stdio. You'll need to provide a TAXFORMATTER_API_KEY environment variable to authenticate. The latest release is v0.1.2, developed and maintained at Sean-Bravo/trw on GitHub.
