Tableau

Overview

Tableau is an MCP server that connects your AI assistant to Tableau's API, letting you query, manage, and interact with Tableau resources programmatically. Instead of switching between applications, Claude, Cursor, VS Code, and other MCP clients can call Tableau as a set of native tools.

The server runs locally on your machine using the tableau-mcp-server Python package. Install it with uvx tableau-mcp-server and provide your Tableau API credentials via the TABLEAU_API_KEY environment variable. Version v0.1.0 is available now, with source code at asklokesh/tableau-mcp-server on GitHub.
