Synology NAS

Overview

Synology NAS is an MCP server that connects your Synology NAS to AI assistants. It lets you browse files on your NAS, monitor its health status, and automate operations through natural conversation with Claude, Cursor, VS Code, and other MCP clients.

The server runs locally on your machine as a Python package. Install it with uvx mcp-synology and it communicates over stdio with no authentication required. Version v0.5.2 is available now under the Apache-2.0 license, with source code on GitHub at cmeans/mcp-synology.
