Overview

Steam (read-only) is a Model Context Protocol server that gives AI assistants read-only access to your Steam account data. It exposes your friends list, game library, achievements, sales history, and game recommendations as tools the model can invoke. You can use it to get suggestions for co-op nights or explore what you own.

The server runs locally on your machine via the Python package steam-mcp, installed through uvx. It communicates with MCP clients over stdio and requires a Steam API key for authentication. The latest release is v1.14.0, available at Sarg338/steam-mcp on GitHub.
