Statfin Mcp

Overview

Statfin Mcp is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server: Statistics Finland (StatFin/PxWeb): search tables, read metadata, fetch JSON-stat2 data. In practice that means any MCP-compatible AI assistant can call Statfin Mcp's tools directly — the model decides when to use them in a conversation or agent run.

It runs locally: the npm package @nor-data/statfin-mcp speaks MCP over stdio on your machine. No credentials are required — it works out of the box. The current release is v0.1.0, with source at 3121n/nor-data-statfin-mcp on GitHub.
