Stata MCP Server

Overview

Stata MCP Server is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server powered by pystata that brings real Stata computation into AI assistants. It exposes 75 tools covering the full econometric workflow: data loading, cleaning, modeling, diagnostics, and graphics export. Once installed, any MCP client can invoke these tools directly, turning Stata into a collaborative research environment accessible through Claude, Cursor, VS Code, and other assistants.

The server runs locally via the npm package @aliveranme/stata-mcp, communicating with your AI client over stdio. You'll need STATA_HOME configured as an environment variable to point to your Stata installation. No authentication is required. The current release is v1.0.10, distributed under the MIT license with full source code available at aliveranme/stata-mcp on GitHub.
