SSH Session MCP

Overview

SSH Session MCP is a Model Context Protocol server that provides a shared SSH PTY runtime for MCP clients, complete with a viewer, input lock, async tracking, and policy rules. It exposes these capabilities as tools that AI assistants can invoke on your behalf.

The server runs locally as an npm package. Install it with npx -y ssh-session-mcp. It communicates with your MCP client over stdio and requires an API key for authentication. The current release is v2.7.1, published under the Apache-2.0 license, with source code available at Zw-awa/ssh-session-mcp on GitHub.
