Overview

Ssh is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server: MCP server for SSH remote server management with SSH agent authentication support. In practice that means any MCP-compatible AI assistant can call Ssh's tools directly — the model decides when to use them in a conversation or agent run.

It runs locally: the npm package ssh-agent-mcp-server speaks MCP over stdio on your machine. Configuration happens through environment variables — you'll need SSH_HOST, SSH_USERNAME. The current release is v0.1.5, published under the MIT license, with source at pulsemcp/mcp-servers on GitHub, where it has earned 80 stars.
