Overview

Sqlservermcp is a Model Context Protocol server that connects AI assistants directly to SQL Server. It enables schema inspection, safe read-only queries, and query plan analysis, letting Claude and other MCP clients work with your database as callable tools rather than requiring manual context switching.

The server runs locally on your machine via the command dnx SqlServerMcp --yes. The NuGet package SqlServerMcp communicates with MCP clients over stdio and requires no authentication to get started.
