Overview

Source Library is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server: Search 22,000+ rare pre-modern texts with AI English translations, summaries, and 73K+ images. As an MCP server it plugs straight into AI assistants, exposing its functionality as tools the model can invoke on your behalf.

It runs locally: the npm package @source-library/mcp-server speaks MCP over stdio on your machine. No credentials are required — it works out of the box. The current release is v4.3.0, published under the AGPL-3.0 license, with source at Embassy-of-the-Free-Mind/sourcelibrary-v2 on GitHub, where it has earned 17 stars.
