Soma

Overview

Soma is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server: RMCP runtime for provider-backed agents with CLI, REST, HTTP MCP, plugins, and scaffold support. In practice that means any MCP-compatible AI assistant can call Soma's tools directly — the model decides when to use them in a conversation or agent run.

It runs locally: the npm package @dinglebear/soma speaks MCP over stdio on your machine. The current release is v0.10.0, published under the AGPL-3.0 license, with source at dinglebear-ai/soma on GitHub.
