Snapstack Server

Overview

Snapstack Server is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that runs locally to provide browser capture intake and MCP communication over 127.0.0.1. It acts as an always-on service that integrates captured browser content with your AI assistant, exposing its functionality as tools the model can invoke.

The server runs locally on your machine via the npm package snapstack-server and communicates over stdio. No credentials or external services are needed—it works out of the box. The latest release is v1.2.3, available under the MIT license with source code at bgaze/snapstack-server on GitHub.
