Smartrent Mcp

Overview

Smartrent Mcp is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server: Control SmartRent smart home devices (locks, thermostat, switches, sensors) via Claude. In practice that means any MCP-compatible AI assistant can call Smartrent Mcp's tools directly — the model decides when to use them in a conversation or agent run.

It runs locally: the Python package smartrent-mcp (via uvx) speaks MCP over stdio on your machine. Configuration happens through environment variables — you'll need SMARTRENT_EMAIL, SMARTRENT_PASSWORD.
