Overview

Skill Mcp is a Model Context Protocol server that serves a directory of Agent Skills over MCP. It provides tools to list and load skills, read their files, and run declared scripts. Any MCP-compatible AI assistant can call these tools directly, letting the model decide when to use them during a conversation or agent run.

The server runs locally via the npm package @chrischall/skill-mcp, which communicates over stdio on your machine. Install it with npx -y @chrischall/skill-mcp. No authentication is needed — it works immediately after installation. Version v0.1.0 is published under the MIT license with source code available at chrischall/skill-mcp on GitHub.
