Skarn

Overview

Skarn is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server: Scans AI coding sessions and assistant configs for leaked secrets and risky hooks; local, redacted. Because it speaks the Model Context Protocol, AI assistants can use Skarn as a set of callable tools instead of you copy-pasting between apps.

It runs locally: the npm package @skarn-security/skarn speaks MCP over stdio on your machine. No credentials are required — it works out of the box. The current release is v0.27.0, with source at skarn-security/skarn-dist on GitHub.
