Signal8 is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server: SEC filings, dilution, insider & institutional ownership, and political-trade data for AI agents. As an MCP server it plugs straight into AI assistants, exposing its functionality as tools the model can invoke on your behalf.
You can run Signal8 two ways: connect to the hosted endpoint at https://mcp.signal8.ai/mcp with no local install, or run it on your own machine via the npm package @signal8ai/mcp. Configuration happens through environment variables — you'll need SIGNAL8_API_KEY. The current release is v0.15.0, published under the MIT license, with source at signal8ai/signal8-mcp on GitHub.
You'll find Signal8 in the AI & Agents category here on mcp.site; it connects to Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Zed, and any other MCP client — see the install snippets below. If you maintain Signal8 for signal8.ai, claim this listing to verify ownership, earn the Verified badge, and keep the details current.
