Shimguard

Overview

Shimguard is a Model Context Protocol server that wraps the ShimGuard CLI as a single generic MCP tool for agent-shim provenance checks. AI assistants can call Shimguard as a native tool, making security checks seamless without manual copy-pasting between applications.

The server runs locally on your machine via the shimguard-cli package, installed with uvx shimguard-cli. It requires no credentials and works immediately out of the box. Shimguard is released as v0.1.5 under the MIT license, with source code available at RudrenduPaul/ShimGuard on GitHub.
