Secret Safe Env

Overview

Secret Safe Env is a Model Context Protocol server that lets you write secrets into .env files through a Windows masked dialog without ever exposing the values to the AI agent. With MCP integration, Claude and other AI assistants can call this as a tool rather than requiring manual secret management workflows.

The server runs locally on your machine via npx -y secret-safe-env, speaking MCP over stdio. It requires no authentication and works immediately after installation. Version v0.1.2 is available under the MIT license, with source code at irrenwill/secret-safe-env on GitHub.
