Overview

SEAL is a Model Context Protocol server that enables secure transfer of large files and secrets between people and agents, keeping sensitive data out of chat histories and away from language models. By integrating with MCP, it gives AI assistants direct access to encrypted file handling without requiring manual copy-pasting between tools.

SEAL runs locally on your machine via the npm package sealnet-mcp, which communicates with MCP clients over stdio. Installation is straightforward with npx -y sealnet-mcp and requires no authentication or setup credentials. The latest release is v0.7.0, available at https://seal.net/mcp.
