Overview

Remote Terminal MCP is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server: Complete SSH terminal for Linux with AI/user control and dual-stream visibility. In practice that means any MCP-compatible AI assistant can call Remote Terminal MCP's tools directly — the model decides when to use them in a conversation or agent run.

It runs locally: the Python package remote-terminal-mcp (via uvx) speaks MCP over stdio on your machine. Configuration happens through environment variables — you'll need REMOTE_TERMINAL_ROOT. The current release is v1.3.3.
