Rancher

Overview

Rancher is an MCP server that connects your AI assistant to the Rancher API. Instead of manually switching between tools, Claude, Cursor, VS Code, and other MCP clients can call Rancher directly as a set of integrated functions.

Rancher runs locally on your machine via the rancher-mcp-server Python package, installed with uvx rancher-mcp-server. It communicates with MCP clients over stdio and requires a RANCHER_API_KEY environment variable for authentication. The latest release is v0.1.0, available at asklokesh/rancher-mcp-server on GitHub.
