Rag Vault

Overview

Rag Vault is a local Model Context Protocol server that brings retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) capabilities to your AI assistant. It combines hybrid search with support for PDF and DOCX documents, delivering zero-config setup so you can start indexing and searching your knowledge base immediately without complex configuration.

The server runs entirely on your machine as an npm package. Install it with npx -y @robthepcguy/rag-vault and it connects via stdio to any MCP client. No authentication is needed—it works out of the box. The latest release is v1.5.3, and the full source code is available at RobThePCGuy/rag-vault on GitHub.
