Queryshield

Overview

Queryshield is a Model Context Protocol server that acts as a secure SQL proxy for AI agents. It translates natural language into SQL while enforcing abstract syntax tree safety checks, implementing per-agent row-level security, and maintaining detailed audit logs for all database interactions.

The server runs locally as a Python package installed via uvx queryshield-mcp. It communicates over stdio and requires the QUERYSHIELD_API_KEY environment variable for authentication. Queryshield is published under the MIT license at version v1.0.1, with source code available at bch1212/queryshield on GitHub.
