Overview

ProxmoxMCP-Plus is a Model Context Protocol server that brings Proxmox VE infrastructure management into your AI assistant. It exposes virtual machines, LXC containers, snapshots, backups, storage, and cluster operations as tools your AI can invoke directly, turning complex infrastructure tasks into conversational interactions.

The server runs locally on your machine via the proxmox-mcp-plus package, installed with uvx proxmox-mcp-plus. It communicates with your Proxmox host over MCP using stdio and requires three environment variables to authenticate: PROXMOX_HOST, PROXMOX_USER, and PROXMOX_TOKEN_NAME. Version v0.5.14 is available now under the MIT license; the full source is maintained at RekklesNA/ProxmoxMCP-Plus on GitHub.
