Project Gutenberg MCP

Overview

Project Gutenberg MCP is a Model Context Protocol server that lets you search, retrieve metadata, and read passages from Project Gutenberg books directly within your AI assistant. It exposes these capabilities as tools your model can invoke on demand.

The server runs locally via Docker using the image roberthouse224/project-gutenberg-mcp:1.2.0, communicating over stdio. You'll need to set the GUTENBERG_BASE_URL and GUTENBERG_TOOLS environment variables. No authentication is required. The project is released under the MIT license with source code available at bobbyhouse/project-gutenberg-mcp on GitHub.
