Postgres MCP

Overview

Postgres MCP is a Model Context Protocol server that wraps PostgreSQL, letting any MCP-compatible AI assistant query and interact with your databases directly. It maps credentials from .env files, supports tool selection, and enforces safe read-only defaults to protect your data.

The server runs locally via the npm package @edelciomolina/postgres-mcp, which communicates over stdio with no additional authentication required. Version v1.7.0 is the latest release, and the full source is available at edelciomolina/postgres-mcp on GitHub.
