Polar Health Data (self-hosted)

Overview

Polar Health Data is a self-hosted Model Context Protocol server that brings your Polar fitness analytics into AI assistants. It exposes sleep, heart rate variability, workouts, and baseline metrics as tools that Claude, Cursor, VS Code, and other MCP clients can invoke directly, turning your health data into actionable insights within your workflow.

The server runs locally via Docker image docker.io/stumason/polar-flow-server:1.5.0 and communicates over stdio. You'll need to provide DATABASE_URL, POLAR_CLIENT_ID, and POLAR_CLIENT_SECRET as environment variables to authenticate and connect to your Polar account. The project is open source at StuMason/polar-flow-server on GitHub and is currently at v1.5.0.
