Overview

Pituitary is a Model Context Protocol server that detects specification drift before it becomes a problem. It identifies overlaps, stale documentation, and code drift in your projects, giving AI assistants direct access to drift-detection tools that they can invoke as needed during conversations and agent runs.

The server requires no authentication and runs locally out of the box. Version v1.0.0-beta.12 is available now under the MIT license, with source code hosted at dusk-network/pituitary on GitHub, where the project has 22 stars.

Pituitary is categorized as a Development tool on mcp.site and integrates with any MCP-compatible client, including Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Zed, and others. If you maintain this project for dusk-network, claim your listing to verify ownership and keep it up to date.
